Celebrate your gift from Allah.
Offer an Aqeeqah with Muslim Futures.

The birth of a child is a joyous occasion for every family, a great gift from Allah subhanahu wa ta'āla, that we celebrate with our loved ones.

Offering an Aqeeqah is one of the ways to thank our Creator for blessing us with a new life. In keeping with the Sunnah of the Prophet, sallallahu 'alayhi wa’sallam, when the child is born, the parents should perform Aqeeqah for the child, and this consists of three parts;

and then donate the weight of their hair, calculated to its value in silver, to vulnerable families. This is a charity, given as Sadaqah, and usually about £10-£20 covers it, but you can give as much as you like. Muslim Futures is happy to carry out this charity on your behalf. is a celebration of formally naming the child, an acknowledgement of gratitude for Allah subhanahu wa ta'āla's gift.

This is either a sheep or a goat - one animal for a girl, and two for a boy. The meat from the sacrificed animal is cooked and shared with family, friends and members of the community who are in need. It is encouraged and desirable is to perform the sacrifice on the seventh day after the child is born although there is no harm in performing it earlier or later.

To offer an Aqeeqah for a new-born child is the desirable Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu 'alayhi wa’sallam, as he and his Companions, radhi Allahu'anhu, used to perform an Aqeeqah when they were blessed with a new-born;

"The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhi wa’sallam, did the aqeeqah for al-Hasan and al-Husayn on the seventh day, and gave them names."   (as narrated by Hakim)

How can Muslim Futures help?

To share their happiness and acknowledge the gift bestowed on them by Allah, subhanahu wa ta'āla, many parents opt to have Aqeeqah done in a country where the meat can be given to the poor.

Muslim Futures works in both Africa and Asia to carry out Aqeeqah, with prices from £75, with the meat promptly being distributed to the poor and needy.

Our Aqeeqah programme aims to share the blessing of new life with the poor, needy and vulnerable; those who do not always know where their next meal is coming from, and to provide relief and lift their spirits as they face challenging circumstances in daily life. In many countries, meat is particularly expensive and out of reach for those in need. Therefore, many greatly value the chance to cook meat for their families.

Once we receive your instruction, the sacrifice will be carried out by our team as quickly as possible in the most appropriate community. We distribute fresh meat packs to the most vulnerable, such as widows, children, the elderly and the displaced. Each pack will contain between 3kg and 5kg of meat per family.

Aqeeqah locations may vary depending on local conditions, and in Africa could be in Cameroon, Uganda or Malawi, whilst in Asia it could be in Bangladesh, Afghanistan or Pakistan. We can provide photo and/or video feedback, if notified beforehand. Please ensure you put your request details in the Notes section during the donation checkout process.

At Muslim Futures, we ensure ALL your donations reach eligible recipients quickly,  securely and with respect. Find out more about our Supporter Promise.
